Sliding Scale Therapy

I have a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Counseling. I am passionate about personal growth and spiritual awakening, and have practiced meditation for over 13 years. In terms of my orientation to therapy, I am most influenced by Humanistic Psychology, Somatic Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, and Attachment Theory. However, I am an integrationist in that I draw from helpful aspects of many orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Psychodynamics, and Narrative Therapy.

I am very interested in issues of social justice. I have volunteered for Youth Justice Institute (provides mentoring to incarcerated youth) as well as Zen Hospice Project (provides indigent populations with compassionate care during terminal illness). I am also an LGBT ally and strongly support marriage equality.

I am available for short-term issues as well as longer term, deeper therapeutic work.
